DYSON DC34 HAND-HELD VACUUM

the fan on it to keep it from over heating, is so powerful, that it blows dust a debris around when you are trying to vacumn. I got it to use in the room I have my parrot in and this fan blows feather fluff everywhere, making it hard to vacumn them up

Dyson DC35 Animal Digital Slim Cordless Vacuum Cleaner with Pet Hair Tool

This was an early Mother's Day present, and I love it. I wish the charge on Max power was longer, but it's not supposed to be used for whole house cleaning. It's the perfect tool for those quick dust bunnies that blow across the ceramic tile floors, for stairs, touch ups and crumbs under the table. I absolutely love it. Even my husband loves it. I expect it to get a lot of use. We have the regular pet Dyson for our normal cleaning and it's been an amazing product, so I wanted to stay with Dyson products. This did not disappoint me. Holding down the button took a bit of getting used to...I actually would hit it before I was ready, but you get it. It's not too heavy to use comfortably. It's quick and easy to empty. Other than the battery time (3 1/2 hours to charge for 6 minutes use on Max power/13 on normal) I find no negatives to this product.

Neato White XV-12 All Floor Robotic Vacuum System + $49.99 Bonus Pack Bundle

I received my Neato this week and have already used it twice (2 very fuzzy cats). It does a great job covering every square inch of my downstairs in a single charge - light still glowing the green fully charged color (only about 800 square feet). It sections off the downstairs on it's own and then proceeds to vacuum each section in straight lines. When it's done with one section, it moves to a new section. It transitions well between carpeting, tile, and rugs. The vacuum is replacing an old, heavily used Roomba 530. In comparison, I enjoy the straight vacuum lines (unlike the crazy lines of the Roomba). In addition, I used to have to stop the Roomba half way through my downstairs to remove some of the cat hair from the brushes or it would stop working. I do not have that problem with the Neato because the spinning brush is more of a rubber, squeegee style. Right now, the vacuum seems much more powerful, but to be fair, the Roomba was old. I did notice, however, that the Neato is louder than the Roomba was, especially when it is first turned on. It sounds a bit like a plane backing out of the gate, but it quiets down some once it gets vacuuming.Overall, I am happy with the vaccuum. I was able to purchase the Neato at a huge discount through Woot which was fantastic!

Factory-Reconditioned Dyson DC28 Animal

I had been mulling the purchase of a Dyson for some time since two neighbors and my wife's parents all purchased the base model. While there apparently aren't many features that make this Animal version much different, I went ahead with this model anyway. I can tell you that you will want the brush tool for stairs as is actually raises the carpet back up just like the main roller does. I haven't used the flat-out tool yet but other things like the selectable carpet length buttons and long cord were both worth the upgrade. As for this model being refurbished, unless you were buying this as a gift and don't want to look cheap, I would recommend anyone look at this option before dishing out the full purchase price. The unit arrived in a plain cardboard box with all the accessories as a new model and I could not see anything that would indicate that it was previously used. The factory cleans every nook, replaces the filters, and I believe even replaces the cord and accessories as they appeared to me to never be used. I thought about the shorter warranty as being an issue but since these are built to be taken apart and be cleaned I think that almost anyone who is handy should be able to tell what's wrong is something were ever to come up. I've notice that Dyson sells replacement parts for literally everything that goes inside so saving half over new would probably take a long time to justify paying new even if you have a couple of things that need replacement down the road.I LOVE…

iRobot Roomba 440 Vacuum Cleaner the Roomba 440 Cordless Robot Vacuums so You Don't Have to Just Press the Clean Button and Roomba Does the Rest

This vacuum is soooo close to perfection. If I had known then what I know now I would have turned it over and carefully examined everything before first use. Instead, the bearing flew out and I could not figure out where and how to replace it....first try was wrong so it disappeared. It took two weeks to get a replacement. The signal beeps aren't clear (to me) so now on the 3rd try to use it, the vacuum keeps stopping and beeping. I have yet to figure out what's wrong. The instruction booklet was written by robot lovers...not real specific for someone like me.On the other hand, this vacuum cleans far better than I had any right to expect. It makes me positively chortle. No furniture moving. No noise; I can sit in the same room with it. It picks up everything. Presuming I eventually get it back to running the way it did the first two days I will be the happiest customer ever.

Oreck PRO6A XL ProTM 6 Quart Backpack Vacuum

I love this vacuum. I just got it yesterday and I put it together and had it going within minutes. I vacuumed my whole house (2500 square feet) in 15 minutes. It's lightweight and the suction is awesome. I also used it on my furniture to get pet hair and it worked awesome. I am a cleaning lady and I can't wait to use it on Monday at my first client's house! The 50 foot cord is great because you just plug into the middle of your house and you never have to unplug, just keep going until it's done. It even works on plush carpet as it's a hard plastic, it just runs over it sucking all the dirt up!Downside: it doesn't have a horsetail brush for wood floors as to not scratch them. Looking for one of those right now!

Dyson DC23 Animal Vacuum Cleaner

I have owned a Dyson for almost 2 years. Within the first 6 months the plastic tubing to the powerhead split. I phoned Dyson and they were extremely nice and sent a replacement immediately. Then a couple of months after that I noticed fluff on the carpet wasn't being picked up and the powerhead was difficult to push. I flipped the powerhead over and noticed all of the bristles on the spinning brush were shaved off. I phoned them again and they were very accomadating in sending me a replacement brush and a little lecture on ensuring I turn the powerhead off when vacuuming hardwood floors. I don't use the powerhead on the hardwood, I always use the brush attachment as it is gentler on the floor. Now I have just sent the WHOLE vacuum in to be repaired because the prongs on the plug are loose and the vacuum will not start AND the powerhead was turning off intermittently when in use.I found it difficult to be angry at a company whose customer service was so good, but now I have totally had it!! The ONLY good thing about Dyson is their customer service. I bought into the no bag thing, which is really gross as the dust flies everywhere when emptying the canister, and the cyclone technology advertisements. It is a cheaply built, magnificently marketed piece of crap! Don't buy it!

Hoover Platinum Lightweight Upright Vacuum with Canister, Bagged, UH30010COM

First, a disclaimer of sorts .... I'm a long-term, died-in-the-wool Hoover evangelist. No, I don't work for Hoover, but I've always used them religiously for over 30 years. I've tried switching off to other top-of-the-line brands (Oreck, Eureka, Kenmore, etc.), but I always return to Hoover for their unsurpassed cleaning power and reliability. That does not, however, mean they were perfect.* The Hoover WindTunnel U6439 bagged upright that I've had for the last several years would suck up a Buick. Unfortunately, it also rivaled a Buick in the weight category. Although it's supposedly a "self-propelled" model, I felt like I had to go into training in order to vacuum my house. It became something I would put off because I wasn't sure I had the strength to wrestle this bulky beast all over my house.* The WindTunnel controls which allow you to change the brush height from carpet to floor were manual, hard-to-move levers on the brush housing which required you to shut the machine off in order to properly manipulate them.* The HEPA filter on my old WindTunnel seemed to work only for the first few months. After that, all manner of airborne particles would fly around as I vacuumed, even after I cleaned/replaced the filters.* Lastly, noise of my previous WindTunnel was something akin to a jet taking off. When I saw a TV commercial for the Hoover Platinum series machines, I was definitely intrigued. I loved the idea of getting two separate vacuums together for one price (brilliant…

iRobot 44001 Roomba Vacuum-Cleaning Robot

I'd agree with the reviews that the novelty factor wears off on these, and they're not dependable. I went through a few... I think they exchanged one (thankfully) since it never seemed to work... After a while you get tired of them running out of batteries, beeping or going inactive... and you realize the time you're saving on vacuuming has been offset by the time to care for these things.

Dyson DC35 Digital Slim Multi Floor Vacuum

This is definitely the best hand held vacuum out there, and a good upgrade from dc31. The biggest difference that is not visual is Dyson finally included a Lithium battery witch extends working time to around 15 minutes from 10 compared to dc31. The other thing I noticed that most pictures shows light blue color ( maybe it's Australian version) The US version it's a dark neon blue. The vacuum itself works great to pick up some spots, and hard to reach places that my Neato (robot vacuum)could not get to. Plus do to long reach wand it perfect for cleaning blinds and ceiling fans, I did had to buy a different head attachment to do this task. On top of that with extra battery time, vacuuming a car is much nicer.DC35 like the previous model has 2 vacuuming modes, regular and MAX. To go to the MAX mode, simply press the button at the back of the unit. With the MAX mode your battery time also cuts in half, but this is the one that I prefer using a motorised floor tool attached. Now I do have a low pile carpet and the motorized tool works great, very easy to move it, and picks up dirt very easily. But I also have a 2 high pile rugs, and this thing is useless an them. It's almost impossible to move it on this type of rug. I never had that problem with other vacuums.Noise from the vacuum in a MAX mode reminds me of a low power drill. In a regular mode is quite silent. DC35 is also bag-less. All dust and dirt can be seen inside a transparent canister. With a press of a button, you can open…

Miele : S168 Universal Mini Upright Vacuum - White finish

I needed a new vacuum cleaner. This Miele : S168 Universal Mini Uprighr Vaccum -- White Finish", had, at the time, one four-star review and three five-star reviews. It was small, and nice-looking, in its all-white design. German engineering is legendary. What more could I want?Well, this IS a very nice vacuum. It has a lot of suction power, and cleans up well. The bags, though they look small, do hold a lot. The cord does NOT automatically wind into the machine like my old cannister did -- but it does the next best thing, as it has a 'loop-holder" in the back, that makes it easy to wind the cord when finished.Like other reviewers, however, I DO wish this vaccum was LIGHTER IN WEIGHT. Using it reminds me of an old joke I once read in the excellent children's book, "THE JUMBO FUN BOOK", (version of 1949). This joke has a picture of a soldier holding a rifle, on a march. The caption reads: "The new army rifle weighs 9.7 pounds. After a few miles, the decimal point drops out (!)" (The soldier looks VERY exhausted in the lllustraton). So, when starting to vaccum with this Miele product, it does indeed seem light-weight. However, do it for more than five minutes....I learned today from a friend that, if you REALLY want, (or need), a light-weight vacuum, you should look for a FEATHERWEIGHT vacuum, rather than a stick or a light-weight. (Seems vacuum cleaners weight-listings are the same as those of professional boxers!)So, except for the weight, I am very…

Hoover Commercial Shoulder Backpack Vacuum Cleaner

I've been fighting a losing battle with my 5 and 7 year old and their very hairy dog for 2 years... We have wood floors throughout our entire house and we heat all winter with a wood burning stove. My house was dusty, dirty & dog-hairy no matter how often I dusted and swept. I finally bought this out of desperation & it is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My house is clean all the time now. The suction power is amazing - I accidentally sucked up a pencil (successfully I might add). The attachments clean everything in the house - sofas, ceiling cobwebs, etc. The lead is SO LONG that I can plug it into my hallway and clean all 2700 square feet in one go in 20 minutes. It is definitely commercial grade, so don't expect any fancy booklet with cute photos, you won't need it anyway. Just take it out the box and plug it in. The disposable paper cleaning bags work really well if you don't want to clean out the reusable bag each time. If you are like me and you've wanted a "fix" for a while but you've been disappointed by other 'gadgets', then I'd go for this ... THIS THING ROCKS.

Dyson DC31 Handheld Vacuum Cleaner

As other reviewers have said, this vacuum is lightweight, sturdy, easy to maintain, and has great suction power. Unfortunately it also has a short operation time of up to 10 minutes, with a 3 hour battery charge time. If you can deal with that, and the cost, this vacuum is highly recommended. What boggles my mind is that Dyson didn't design the vacuum to work with a power cord. Either allow the vacuum to be operated while the battery charger is plugged into the battery and the battery is plugged into the vacuum (a "pass through" mode that would send the DC power directly to the vacuum instead of the battery), or provide a separate AC-to-DC adapter with a (longer) cord, that would plug into the existing battery port. This is a no-brainer. If you Google reviews on this vacuum, you see over and over again that the main (if not only) complaint is the short operation time. Dyson could make a new AC-to-DC adapter NOW that would plug into the existing battery port. My only guess as to why they don't do this is that they want people to buy one of their larger vacuums for corded operation.I'd give this item five stars if it wasn't for this obvious oversight. Three hours of charge time for ten minutes of operation is difficult to deal with.

Rubbermaid Rcp9Vbp06 - Commercial Vacuum Backpack

I've been using it for over a year. It's a wonderful product with great pick-up and durablity. It is very comfortable to wear for a long time compared to othe backpack vacuums I've tried. You can easily reach all the areas up high with the wand and tools. This is a great product and I would recommend buying this backpack vacuum over any other I have tried before.
